Le Reve Organic Spa & Boutique will be closed on Easter Sunday, April 16th 2017 Le Reve Organic Spa & Boutique will be closed for Easter this coming Sunday, April 16th 2017. We will reopen the following day for our regular business hours of 10am – 7pm.

Did you know that you can color your easter eggs without using harsh dyes? 
The Dye Dilemma
Americans are now eating 5 times more dyes than they did in 1955! Many dyes have been linked to cancer such as; Citrus Red #2 and Red #3 Erythrosine while others have been linked to hyperactivity in children like, Red #40 Allura Red and Yellow #6 Sunset Yellow. 
The Natural Route
     Being healthy and steering clear of harsh and toxic dyes does not mean you need to sit out of easter fun and festivities. There are several health ingredients to help color those eggs for this Sunday. Some options include coffee, blueberry, tea, chili powder, red onions, spinach, saffron powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, red cabbage, turmeric, onions and more! There are so many ways to decorate those eggs. Check out the ingredients list from Assemble Shop below…
Ingredients
• Yellow onion skins (skins from about 10-15 onions, depending on how many eggs you are making) • White cage-free, organic eggs • a few dashes of salt (to prevent shell breakage) • 1 tablespoon of vinegar (to prevent egg seepage) • regular old pantyhose • some flora of your choice–make sure none of it is poisonous. I could bore you with the history of this holiday (I learned all about it in my History of the UK course last year,) but instead I figured I would do something we’ll all enjoy and tell you a bit about one of the greenest lines we carry here at Le Reve. And by green I mean green, not eco-friendly, even though all of our products are eco-friendly.

The Stone Crop Line

The Stone-Crop line, from  Eminence , contains a body lotion, a gel wash, a serum, a moisturizer, a masque, and a hydrating mist. Each of these products is incredibly versatile and works on almost all skin types! Sensitive skin loves Stone Crop because it feels cool going onto the skin, and yet oily and rough skin reaps the benefits as well. Stone Crop itself has been used for ages as a healing tool on burns and injuries, and its work in skincare is just as effective!

The Stone Crop Body Lotion is a hydrating lotion for freckled, sun damaged, or sensitive skin types. It gently lightens pigmentation and age spots while at the same time prevents new occurrences. But how did this holiday come to be? Have we always had a day dedicated to proclaiming our love to that special someone? To our Valentine? It all started by Saint Valentine, a rebel with a cause 😉      Legend has it that during the Roman Empire Saint Valentine was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry! The Emperor of Rome believed soldiers could not be good soldiers and husbands…what a jerk right? If this Saint wasn’t cool enough already, during Saint Valentines imprisonment, he healed the daughter of his jailer. Before Saint Valentines’ execution he wrote her a farewell letter signed “Your Valentine.”
