Our Organic SPF 30 Sunblock Facestick by Sea and Summit was designed by a local lifeguard. He grew tired of the chemical sunscreens that were damaging to the environment and body. He created this facestick along with the help of experience chemists with ease of use and eco-friendly consciousness in mind. After a few years the Sea & Summit SPF 30 Facestick was born. This easy to use organic 30 SPF sunblock facestick is a great travel sunblock! The bamboo lid holds nicely in any travel bag and the easy to apply sun protection is gentle on skin making a fabulous choice for little ones.

Why doesn’t it say “waterproof” or an amount of minutes for water resistance?

Because it’s now illegal to label any sunscreen as “waterproof” and water resistance testing is not applicable to real world usage. Do you think sitting in a fresh water bath is the same as swimming in a pool or the ocean? We Lifeguards don’t either! So we decided our real world testing will develop a reputation on its’ own of being an awesome formula that’s super water resistant. So, Yes, it’s excellent for water sports!

LBD Translucent Sun Protection is offered for both men and women.

This sun protection is all natural, pure translucent mineral formula.  

It lasts all day without re-application and provides complete protection from all UVA/UVB infrared rays. It does not contain any FD&C dyes, oils, fragrance, alcohol, parabens, cornstarch or other chemicals. Soothing and calming, LBD-Women can be used on rash-prone skin, eczema, allergy-prone skin (with a near-zero allergy rate) and sensitive skin. This mineral sun protection keeps the skin naturally cool (even when sitting in the sun) and reduces perspiration, doesn’t irritate like chemical sunscreens.

Micronized titanium dioxide and Zinc oxide are the key. These minerals are naturally occurring and do not clog pores or dry out the skin. It works quite remarkably. Basically, it allows light to pass through the visible ray region (light that is needed for healthy development of skin) while intercepting the ultraviolet rays.  Micronized titanium dioxide and Zinc Oxide guard against the damaging effects of ultraviolet rays, yet gives the skin a natural looking finish. Research shows micronized titanium dioxide and zinc oxide provide a natural barrier to UVA and UVB radiation without irritation, burning or stinging.
